The Bench: London weekly hotel performance to 22 January, 2006
London hotels boosted revenue per available room (revpar) rise by 7.4% in the week ending 22 January, according to figures from hotel benchmarking service The Bench.
Revpar grew to £96.80, up from £90.11 during the equivalent week last year thanks to increases in both occupancy and average room rate.
Occupancy grew by three percentage points to 74.2% while average room rate rose by 3.1% to £130.50, up from £126.62 in the corresponding week of 2005.

The Bench - which is partnered with US firm Smith Travel Research - provides online benchmarking data for in excess of 34,000 hotels in more than 400 markets.
