London hotels saw revenue per available room (revpar) soar by 104.7% in the week ending 6 January, according to figures from hotel benchmarking service The Bench.
Revpar climbed to £108.84, up from £53.17 during the equivalent week of 2007.
Occupancy grew by 35.7 percentage points to 88.8% while average room rate increased by 22.4% to £122.61 compared with £100.16 in the corresponding week of 2007.

The Bench - which is partnered with US firm Smith Travel Research - provides online benchmarking data for in excess of 34,000 hotels in more than 400 markets.
The online service allows users to track their performance in average room rate, occupancy and revpar in a variety of formats and to measure their daily performance against their competitors.
