The Clink to team up with London Hilton for charity fundraiser

The Clink charity has partnered with London Hilton on Park Lane to host a one-off fundraising dinner.

Hilton executive chef Anthony Marshall will bring five members of his team to join the Clink head chef Paul Clarkson and his brigade of trainee chefs on 6 October at the Clink restaurant at HMP Brixton.

The London Hilton on Park Lane will donate the ingredients required for the four-course menu.

Guests will be introduced to the Clink by chief executive Christopher Moore. He said: "As a restaurant we look to work with other hospitality businesses that share our passion for education and training, are champions of the industry and appreciate the importance of inspiring more people to pursue a career in hospitality.

"As a charity it's important to us that we work with other like-minded initiatives so we can collaboratively improve the lives of those in need of help and support. This event is an amalgamation of all of these things and we hope to raise as much money as we can to support the continued work of the charities involved."

All proceeds from the event will go to the Clink charity to support the rehabilitation of prisoners through work-based hospitality training. Money raised from a raffle, which will be held on the night, will be donated to the DM Thomas Foundation which works closely with Carney's Community to enable the charities to improve the lives of disadvantaged and young people around the world.

Tickets are priced at £50 per person. For details email brixton@theclinkrestaurant.com

The Clink is expanding across HMP prisons with four restaurants in operation to date. The charity aims to have 20 prisoner training projects in operation by 2020.
