The Clive Arms reopens on Shropshire's Oakly Park Estate

The Clive Arms has relaunched following an extensive refurbishment as a farm-to-fork destination with 17 bedrooms on the Earl of Plymouth's Oakly Park Estate in Shropshire.

Closed since January, the new-look property near Ludlow has been overseen by interior designer Olivia Stirling; Robert Windsor-Clive, son of the Earl of Plymouth; and Jon Edwards, managing director of Ludlow Farm, umbrella company for the Clive Arms and the adjacent Ludlow Farmshop and Ludlow Kitchen café.

The transformed property includes three new bedrooms in the first floor of the main building to join 14 existing courtyard rooms which have all been refurbished.

Dining opportunities exist across a 40-cover restaurant, bar, snug, lounge and private dining room for 14 covers, as well as a new courtyard.

Ingredients, including the beef, lamb, Gloucester Old Spot pork and milk, predominantly come from the farms and walled garden on the 8,000-acre estate, as well as sister business, Ludlow Farmshop.

Furniture, furnishings and fittings also have local connections, including books from the Earl of Plymouth's main residence, Oakly Park House, paintings from Shropshire artist John Napper and ceramics from Marches Pottery.

General manager of the Clive Arms is Dana Tase and head chef is Luke Wignall.
