The Hotel Collection announces three new executive appointments
The new operations director is Peter Manby, who will take responsibility for strengthening customer service and performance. Most recently from Travelodge, Manby's career has also included roles at Hilton and the De Vere Group.
The new marketing director is Andrea McKay, who joins from senior marketing roles with Hilton Hotels. She has also sat on the Hotel Marketing Association committee for the past decade.
Helen Smith has joined as human resources director, from a similar role at Menzies Hotels.
Fredrik Korallus, chief executive of The Hotel Collection, said that the key appointments would strengthen the executive team and build on the company's 18 months of success in growth and profit. The company has been recovering in the past two years, after hotels group Barcelo pulled out of a £30m, 45-year lease agreement in 2012.
The Hotel Collection comprises now 21 four-star venues across the UK, including the Carlton Hotel in Edinburgh and the Oxford Hotel in Oxford. Set in town centres, beaches and the countryside, its wide variety of properties offer a total of over 2,800 bedrooms. It rebranded from Puma Hotels earlier this year.
