The Stanneylands hotel re-opens following £1.7m renovation
The Stanneylands hotel in Wilmslow, Cheshire, has re-opened with two new restaurants following a £1.7m renovation by the Mere Collection.
The property was purchased in December 2015 for £4.15m and has since been restored by co -owners Mark Boler and Gary Corbett, who worked with architects and designers DV8 Designs in Warrington to re-design 52 bedrooms and create the Grill Room and Tap & Pantry restaurants.
The Grill Room will serve classic British food, while Tap & Pantry offers a much more casual all-day food and drink experience.
Boler said: "This is a huge milestone for the Mere Collection and represents a strategic leap forward for us as a business as we continue to grow the brand across the county. We have every confidence that the team at the Stanneylands will deliver the first class hospitality and delightful touches to make every guest experience a memorable one."
Corbett added: "The strategic acquisition of the Stanneylands supports our ambition to grow the operation of the Mere brand across the county. Following our repositioning from a hotel into a food and drink destination, we are confident that this will delight and excite our existing guests, along with attracting new customers".
The Mere Collection currently owns two four-starred properties: the Mere Golf Resort & Spa in Knutsford, Cheshire, and the Stanneylands.
