The 26-year-old joined the hotel at the beginning of March and is now assembling a new team, including a sous chef, chef de partie, and commis. He will now also focus on creating new dishes using locally-sourced products, and has plans to work on a kitchen garden to source his own ingredients.

hotel is the third hotel acquired by Langoed Limited - as well as Llangoed Hall and the 49-bedroom Sudbury House near Oxford. It is currently undergoing a £1m refurbishment but is still open pending work to its interior.

Adam commented: "It's an exciting challenge to become head chef and I am looking forward to cooking for local people and visitors. They can look forward to homely as well as exciting and innovative food and I plan to expand the menu with my own dishes in the coming months."
