This week's openings: Spiritland Royal Festival Hall, Yeni, Fingal and more
Spiritland Royal Festival Hall
Following the opening of its café, bar and radio studio for music lovers in London's King's Cross in 2016 and a shop in Mayfair, Spiritland has opened a restaurant and bar in Royal Festival Hall, the 2,900-seat concert, dance and talks venue within Southbank Centre.
Spiritland Royal Festival Hall brings an early morning to late night celebration of food, drink and music culture to Europe's largest centre for the arts, with a 2am licence, an open grill and an oyster bar.
Newly appointed group head chef is Moondog, who previously worked at Peter Gordon's Providores and Tapa Room in Marylebone. The New Zealand-born chef is bringing an Antipodean twist to the sharing plates menu.
The quality of sound in the room has been considered, with bespoke velvet curtains, furniture by Very Good and Proper, a terrazzo bar by Max Lamb for Dzek, and leather booths.
