Thistle boosts turnover

Thistle Hotels boosted turnover from its 17 owned or leased hotels by 3% in the year to 30 June to £287.1m (2004: £279.3m).

Average room rate and revenue per available room (revpar) also increased across all its properties, although occupancy slipped slightly in the capital.

London Thistles boosted revpar from £60.20 to £63 on the back of rise in average room rate from £73.80 to £80. Occupancy fell by 2.7 percentage points to 78.8%.

Revpar at its provincial properties increased from £37.10 to £39 thanks to increases in both average room rate (from £55.20 to £57.10) and occupancy, which grew by 1.3 percentage points to 68.5%.

Thistle also manages 33 hotels for Atlantic hotels and other third parties. It is owned by Singapore's BIL International.
