Thistle names new chief exec

Thistle Hotels has announced the appointment of Tim Scoble as its new chief executive.

Scoble, formerly chief executive of Little Chef, replaces Beverly King who will leave the company on 3 January.

King declined to reveal his next move but it is understood he plans to start a new, independent hotel company.

Arun Amarsi, chief executive officer of Thistle's parent company, BIL International, said: "Tim brings to Thistle Hotels excellence in hotel management and expertise in consumer brands and service delivery."
