Three Isle of Skye hotels to be sold after administration

Three hotels on the Isle of Skye are to be sold after their operating company went into administration due to ongoing cash flow problems.

Zolfo Cooper has been appointed administrator of MJ Macleod & Company, which operates the Bosville hotel, and Macleod Hotels, which operates the Broadford and Marmalade hotels.

The Broadford hotel is situated in Broadford, while the Bosville and Marmalade properties are in Portree. Together the three hotels employ 50 staff.

Elizabeth Mackay, partner at Zolfo Cooper, said the hotels are well established and offer a quality investment for potential buyers.

"We will continue to trade the hotels with a view to achieving a sale of the businesses as going concerns."
