Tim O'Sullivan appointed general manager of Apex City of Bath hotel

Apex Hotels has announced Tim O'Sullivan as general manager for the new 177-room City of Bath hotel, due to open in Summer 2017.

O'Sullivan will take on the role in January, leading the opening of the hotel on the corner of James Street West.

Formerly regional operations manager of Whitbread's Premier Inn in the Midlands and Home Counties, O'Sullivan is passionate about building a strong team that will deliver stellar service.

He said: "I am not only looking forward to working for such a progressive hotel group, but also relishing the opportunity to lead a team that gives Bath its only city centre conference space. Apex is extremely proud to be delivering an excellent hotel, worthy of a World Heritage City, while also spearheading a unique city centre conference and events venue.

"Much of what is great about Bath is what is local. With that in mind, we are looking forward to recruiting for key roles from within the city, and in turn, introducing Bath to the Apex Hotels brand."

Yousif Al-Wagga, managing director of Apex Hotels, added: "Tim has an excellent reputation and we see his appointment as a key development for the hotel. Apex is proud to nurture existing talent within its group, but also ambitious to strengthen its team with experienced professionals from other parts of the industry. "

The Bath hotel will be the first property outside of London or Scotland for the nine-strong Apex Hotels group.
