Top price for foodies' favourite

A Somerset hotel with two AA-rosettes restaurant, has sold for close to £960,000. Farthings Hotel at Hatch Beauchamp, near Taunton has 11 bedrooms and the acclaimed restaurant seats around 40. Farthings is the first venture into the hotel sector for new owners David and Jacky Forbes, who have retained all the existing staff. The agent was Colliers Robert Barry, acting for Steve and Hilary Murphy.
