Travelodge opens fifth hotel near Heathrow with local woman as manager

The 128-bedroom London Hounslow Travelodge on Lampton Road, costing £9.4m to develop, has created 25 new jobs.

Since 2007, Travelodge has more than quadrupled the number of rooms near Heathrow airport and today boasts nearly 1,000 rooms within a five miles radius of the airport.

The new hotel is being managed by Prychidko who has been with Travelodge for 15 years since joining the company as a guest room cleaner at Heston Eastbound Travelodge.

"I am very excited to be managing a hotel on the very road that I grew up on," said Prychidko. "Our hotel has got off to a flying start, we are enjoying high occupancy and we are already sold out for the forthcoming bank holiday and business on the books for summer is looking very good."
