Two Arora hotels now owned by US hedge fund

Independent hotel group Arora Hotels has surrendered ownership of two of its flagship hotels to a US hedge fund.

Ownership of Hilton London Heathrow Airport and Arora Hotel Heathrow (pictured) has passed to Davidson Kempner. Arora continues to run the Arora Hotel Heathrow, while the Hilton property is managed by Hilton Worldwide.

The move comes as part of a refinancing process, which has resulted in the ownership of the two hotels passing to Davidson Kempner, which acquired £200m of Arora's debt from Allied Irish Banks in 2013.
