Two Bournemouth hotels sell for a combined £1m-plus

Property agent Goadsby has sold two hotels in Bournemouth, Dorset, with a combined sales price in excess of £1.1m.

They paid close to the £675,000 asking price for Wood Lodge, a Victorian property set in nearly three-quarters of an acre of woodland.

It comprises 15 bedrooms, two lounges, a small bar, a 50-seat garden restaurant, a nine-hole putting green and owners' accommodation with one bedroom and a kitchen.

The D'Arneys, who plan to run the hotel with their daughter and her partners, intend to expand the business which only traded for seven months of the year.

The eight-bedroom Fielden Court hotel - which has a 20-seat dining room, a resident's lounge and a one-bedroom owners' flat - went to first-time buyer Christine Walton.
