Two charged following Dorchester smash-and-grab
Two people have been charged for their alleged involvement in the second of two smash-and-grab raids to have taken place at the Dorchester hotel this summer.
A group smashed their way through the hotel entrance and stole watches and jewellery before fleeing on mopeds on Thursday last week, according to police.
Brothers Reed Roberts, 28, and Skye Roberts, 19, both of Cubitt Street in London, have been charged with robbery and possession with intent to supply a Class B drug, according to the BBC.
They appeared at Wimbledon Magistrates' Court and were remanded in custody.Meanwhile, two men aged 66 and 27 and a woman aged 46, who were arrested in King's Cross on Thursday over the robbery have been bailed.
Police said they had recovered most of the items stolen on Thursday.
It is not the first time the Dorchester has been targeted for a robbery this year. It was hit by a smash-and-grab raid on 10 June in what police described as a "well-planned" robbery. Six people on mopeds entered the hotel's boutique and smashed jewellery and watch cabinets before leaving.
