Two UK hotels make shortlist of world's top business hotels

Two UK hotels have been included in the shortlist of the best new or newly revamped business hotels in the world, complied by Wallpaper* and Fortune magazines.

The 39-bedroom Dean Street Townhouse (pictured) and 26-bedroom Shoreditch Rooms, both in London are on the 40-strong list, which will be whittled down to 10 in the December 2010 issue of Wallpaper*.

Also on the list are the Crosby Street Hotel in New York, opened last year by British group Firmdale Hotels, which is run by Tim and Kit Kemp; British hotelier Gordon Campbell Gray's Le Gray in Beirut; and Soho House Berlin, launched by the London-based Soho House Group in May.

The shortlist includes grand luxury properties, relaunches of well-established hotels, and contemporary openings in up and coming destinations.
