UK's ‘best and worst' hotel chains named
A customer survey by Which? has rated the "best" and the "worst" hotel chains in the UK, with Q Hotels heading the pack.
Bottom of the list was Britannia Hotels.
The findings come after a survey of 36 UK hotel chains, where Which? asked its members to rate each of them on cleanliness, customer service, bed comfort and value for money.
The results are based on 8,267 hotel stays in the past year.
Q Hotels, which has 21 four-star hotels, scored top marks for cleanliness and room fixtures, and an overall customer score of 78%.
But customers were less happy with Britannia Hotels, which scored just 36% overall. Some guests complained about bedrooms without windows, with one saying: "It was £10 a night extra for a window in the room!"
