Vardon's restaurant at Shaw Hill golf and spa hotel in Chorley has recruited Patrick Rodgers as its head chef.
Rodgers, who trained at the Savoy in London before moving on to become central chef at the Macdonald hotel group, has been a head chef for 15 years.
He said: "I'm delighted to be working at Shaw Hill. It's a great hotel with a really good reputation. I want to build on that reputation and make Vardon's @ Shaw Hill the destination restaurant to visit for quality homemade food using local and seasonal produce that offers something a little bit different."
