Village Hotel Group's Jamie Stevens promoted to senior general manager Scotland
The Village Hotel Group has appointed Jamie Stevens to the newly created position of senior general manager Scotland.
Stevens will oversee the development of the chain's properties in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen.
In part, the promotion is in recognition of Stevens' stewardship of Village Hotel Glasgow, which has increased year-on-year occupancy levels since opening in 2015 and has also won several awards, including being named Scotland's Brand Hotel of the Year at the Scottish Hotel Awards.
Prior to joining the Village Group as Glasgow GM in 2015, Stevens held senior management positions with a number of hotel brands including Malmaison, Abode and Hilton.
He attended Cornell University in 2016 through a HIT Scotland scholarship, a course completed by only a few attendees annually.
He is currently co-chair of Greater Glasgow Hoteliers' Association, which represents the interests of the Greater Glasgow accommodation providers who directly employ an estimated 30,000 people in and around the city.
