Vintry & Mercer joins Small Luxury Hotels consortium

Vintry & Mercer hotel in the City of London has joined the Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH) marketing consortium ahead of opening.

Due to open on 4 February with 92 bedrooms from £175 per night, the property was one of five new members announced.

Located near Cannon Street tube station, the hotel is owned by FR Holdings. Its main restaurant Vintry Kitchen will serve an Asian-inspired menu of small plates, while at the top of the hotel, the Mercer Roof Terrace will focus on British produce prepared in a charcoal oven.

Meanwhile, the 60-cover DND (Do Not Disturb) cocktail bar in the basement will be inspired by 1920s New York cocktail bars, serving barrel-aged and vintage cocktails, alongside a menu of small plates.

The property is named after two of the City's historic guilds: vinters, who traded fine wines, and mercers, who sold fine silks. Both trades will be reflected in the hotel's interior, which is being designed by Dexter Moren Associates.
