VisitEngland names 100 winners of 2016 ROSE awards
Some 100 hotels and other accommodation providers which provide the warmest of welcomes have been announced as the recipients of VisitEngland's ROSE awards.
Introduced last year, the annual awards recognise establishments where the owners, managers and staff provide "incredible experiences" for the guests, irrespective of their star rating, style or type of accommodation.
The winners are all members of VisitEngland's quality assessment scheme and were identified through online reviews from both domestic and overseas visitor, with innovation in service and facilities a key consideration. They represent all types of accommodation from hotels, bed and breakfasts, guests houses and self-catering to campsites, glamping sites and hostels.
They include: Clare House, Grange-over-Sands, Cumbria; the Lamb Inn, Burford, Oxfordshire; and Wentbridge House hotel, Pontefract, West Yorkshire. The full list can be found here.
Pam Foden, head of industry development at VisitEngland, said that the number of operators that were recognised for going the extra mile demonstrates the outstanding quality of service and innovation of products on offer.
"Providing a high level of customer service is crucial to repeat business and the spread of awards shows that the accommodation sector is thriving across the entire country," she said.
The winners were announced yesterday during the first day of the two-day Independent Hotel Show at Olympia, London.
