Wolfgang Puck expected to open steak restaurant at 45 Park Lane

It is understood that Austrian-American celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck is to open a steakhouse at 45 Park Lane, the new 46-bedroom hotel being opened by the Dorchester Collection.

Puck, who has an empire of fine-dining and casual restaurants across the USA, is expected to launch Cut, which is described as offering a contemporary twist on the classic steakhouse, at the hotel, which opens in spring 2011.

Cut first launched at the Beverly Wilshire, a Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills in 2006, and has since been described by Bon Appetit magazine as "one of the top three steakhouse in he USA". A second has opened at the Palazzo Resort Hotel Casino in Las Vegas, with a third planned for the Marina Bay Sands hotel, Singapore.

The Dorchester Collection declined to comment on the rumours.
