Z Hotels site in Bath sold to American casino business

The leasehold of a development site in Bath, which includes a 147-bedroom hotel, has been sold to European casino operator Century Casinos Europe.

The parent company of the European operator is Century Casinos, which is based in Colorado, US, and is the owner of 45 casinos worldwide and on cruise liners.

It was announced three ago that boutique, budget brand Z Hotels, which currently comprises eight properties, will be the operator of the hotel within the Bath development. The hotel is due to open next year.

The casino is also due to launch next year, subject to regulatory and governmental approvals.

Law firm Howard Kennedy advised Saw Close Casino on the deal.
