Zaman Hotels buys Paddington House in Warrington
The Paddington House hotel in Warrington has been sold to Zaman Hotels, securing the employment of the 31 employees.
The property was part of the Venture Hotel Group, which went into administration on 28 November last year following an on-going deterioration in trade.
Accountancy firm Baker Tilly was appointed administrators and continued to keep the hotel trading until it completed the sale yesterday.
Russell Cash, restructuring and recovery partner for Baker Tilly, said: "We are pleased to secure the future of this hotel and the on-going employment for the thirty-one employees working there.
"This is good news for the local economy, and also for the community who will continue to enjoy and benefit from having a thriving local business within the area."
Zaman Hotels is owned by the Zaman family, who own and operate a number of hotels nationally.
Commenting on the acquisition Zishan Zaman, director for the Zaman Group, said: "The Paddington House hotel is an excellent budget hotel.
"During these recessionary times individuals and companies are looking for affordable accommodation and wedding venues so this venue fits perfectly into our portfolio. We will honour all bookings currently at the hotel and aim to make this a perfect ‘local' hotel."
Onecall Hospitality operated the hotel whilst it was in administration. Its director Mark Chambers said it is great to see the property sold whilst retaining the business as a hospitality establishment.
