Houston & Hawkes wins five-year catering contract for London office space

Caterer Houston & Hawkes has won a five-year contract to supply café, hospitality and free issue services for 800 people working in a multi-tenanted office in Uxbridge, London.

Houston & Hawkes, founded in May last year by Simon Houston and Dave Hawkes, will provide made-on-site bakery items, a hot and cold grab-and-go offering and coffee and tea services across Aviva Investors' Belmont House.

Houston, co-director of Houston & Hawkes, said: "Following a challenging summer, we are delighted to be working with Aviva Investors and the team at the Belmont Building. Our focus on seasonal British ingredients, people development and our customer-centric approach really resonated with our client."

Julian Cobourne, senior asset manager at Aviva Investors, added: "Following a competitive review, we selected Houston & Hawkes due to their passion and innovative approach in creating a café concept that would enhance our tenants' experience at the Belmont Building.

"They spent time to understand our requirements and built a tailored solution that stood out. Their fresh, seasonal, and personalised approach has been evident throughout the design and mobilisation process and it has been fabulous to have received such positive feedback from our tenants."

Last year Houston, previously sales director of Bartlett Mitchell, and Hawkes, former BaxterStorey regional managing director, said they had launched the company in response to a customer desire to deal with owner-operators. They later brought David Steel on board as director of food.
