Jake O'Riley appointed head chef at London's South Place hotel

Jake O'Riley has been appointed head chef of South Place hotel in east London and will oversee its Chop House restaurant, cocktail venue 3 Bar and all private and corporate events.

O'Riley has recently worked at Crown Plaza London – Battersea, part of the InterContinental Hotel Group, and Gordon Ramsay's Bread Street Kitchen.

He will bring a ‘nose to tail' ethos to the Chop House, while promoting responsibly sourced and organic produce.

The chef said: "I'm delighted to be joining the exceptionally talented team at South Place Hotel, and it couldn't be at a better time.

"I look forward to bringing my passion for responsibly sourced, organic produce into an exciting new menu at Chop House and leading the team to ensure guests enjoy a sleek gourmet experience across all areas of the hotel."
