The Caterer will be collating job opportunities as other sectors look to take on hospitality workers to help them respond to additional pressures created by coronavirus.

Care UK Care UK has 125 care homes homes across locations from Aberdeen to Portsmouth. It is looking to fill 500 permanent and temporary roles and is seeking applicants from the hospitality sector, due to the transferable skills of industry workers.

Chilled pastry producer Addo Food Group has announced it is now recruiting for temporary jobs across its six sites.

The company is looking for people with all levels of experience in its Spalding, Nottingham, Market Drayton, Shaftesbury and Poole factories.

The London Restaurant Co-operative

Le Bab, in London's Carnaby Street, is to open as a not-for-profit social kitchen co-operative, to offer som financial relief to the chefs and waiters who've lost their jobs due to Coronavirus.

Unemployed chefs will prepare low cost, delicious ready meals comfort food such as lasagne, that can be paid for online and biked over to people by the waiting staff. The kitchen and waiting staff will keep 100% of the profits, and owner Stephen Tozer will personally cover the set-up cost.

Food production company Anglia Crown, based in Colchester, Essex is looking to fill both permanent and temporary positions. It delivers food to NHS and care sector and has seen a huge increase in demand at a time when the coronavirus outbreak is meaning some staff are having to self isolate or reduce hours due to childcare needs. The Co-op has announced plans to create 5,000 store-based roles, which could provide temporary employment for hospitality workers.

Recruitment procedures at Co-op have been simplified so that candidates can apply for positions by walking into their nearest store with a view to starting work in a matter of days.

The boost in colleague numbers will help stores to replenish stock more efficiently, fulfil online orders and provide ongoing assistance to more vulnerable customers.

The Four Seasons Health Care Group, which has more than 180 homes across the UK, has launched a campaign to recruit up to 3,000 people to support its frontline care teams.

Job are available in care and non-care giving roles, such as food preparation and housekeeping. Applicants do not need previous experience in the care sector and training will be provided as part of the recruitment process. Contracts will be flexible.
