Jollibee applies for Leicester site

Fast food restaurant chain Jollibee continues its expansion plans with an application to take over a former shop in Leicester's Haymarket Towers.

The brand opened its wildly popular first UK restaurant in London's Earl's Court on 20 October 2018 (pictured). The Filipino brand is known for its fried chicken and sweet spaghetti served with hot dog slices and grated cheese. It also has its sights set on a new venue in Liverpool, subject to planning.

Jollibee is the flagship brand of the 13-concept strong Jollibee Foods Corporation and is in the midst of rapid global expansion, with 4,100 restaurants worldwide already, 1,000 of which are Jollibees. President international Dennis Flores told The Caterer last year that the brand is aiming to grow to 25 sites in the UK, including multiple restaurants in London and others in Birmingham, Liverpool and Manchester.
