The French hospitality group behind smashburger concept Junk and Puffy cookies have four new openings planned
French hospitality brand Junk Group has announced four new openings across London amid a major expansion drive.
Founders Majed Mansour and Wissem Ben Ammar are behind smashburger concept Junk, which started off as a delivery-only concept in Paris in 2021 before making its UK debut in late 2024. The pair then brought New York-style cookie brand Puffy to London’s Soho in 2025.
Now, Junk Group is accelerating its growth across London, having just launched the 12-cover Puffy Mayfair on 20 May.
On 28 May, the group is to open the 45-cover Junk Spitalfields, which will also serve Puffy Cookies, and later in the year, Junk Group will open standalone Junk and Puffy sites in Covent Garden.
Junk continues to serve its classic cheeseburger with American cheese and house-made Junk sauce, while Puffy offers seven cookie flavours, ranging from chocolate duo and peanut butter to white chocolate and matcha.
Mansour and Ammar said: “We’re excited to continue expanding Junk across London. Opening new restaurants in iconic neighbourhoods like Covent Garden, Mayfair and Spitalfields is a major step for the brand. Each area has its own energy and culture, and we’re proud to keep growing in a city that continues to inspire us every day.”
Junk Group currently operates two smashburger sites in London’s Marylebone and Soho. It also has a presence in Dubai and Paris.
