The Foodservice Cateys return for 2026, recognising the brightest and best talent across the contract catering sector
Do you want to be in with a chance of winning one of the highest accolades in the foodservice sector?
Then don’t delay in submitting your nomination for The Caterer’s 2026 Foodservice Cateys. There are just over 24 hours left to nominate the people and businesses that make the foodservice sector exceptional.
Now in its 14th year, The Caterer will honour another collection of high achievers in foodservice at the awards ceremony on 9 October at the Royal Lancaster London.
Last year, The Caterer celebrated the 2025 cohort of exceptional talent, including the likes of Phil Shelley, senior operational manager and national lead for net food zero for NHS England, who won the Outstanding Contribution Award, and 2025 Acorn Award winner and head of nutrition at Holroyd Howe, Ellie Olds, who was awarded Healthy Eating Champion.
Winning one of the 22 Foodservice Cateys is a milestone achievement for individuals and businesses but to be in with a chance to win a coveted Foodservice Catey, you must submit entries by 5pm on Wednesday 24 June.

Winning a Foodservice Catey is widely regarded as one of the highest honours in the sector. For Ben Tobin-Paris, deputy managing director at Moving Venue, which won Event Caterer of the Year last year, the awards provided an opportunity to benchmark the business against the industry’s leading operators. “We wanted to see how we stacked up against the very best,” he told The Caterer. “The Cateys are the benchmark in foodservice, so entering felt like a natural step to validate what we’ve built.”
Similarly, Shelley described a Foodservice Catey as “the pinnacle” of the industry, and said how winning can help raise profiles, strengthen reputations and open doors to new business, partnerships and talent.
Winning is significant because recipients are nominated, selected and rewarded by their peers and so is the industry’s only independent benchmark of operational excellence. So, if you know of an individual, business or organisation worthy of this prestigious award, we want to hear from you.
