Lore Group founder named CEO of Beaumier hotels

Billy Skelli-Cohen, the founder of Lore Group, has been appointed chief executive of European boutique hotel group Beaumier.

He will take on the role from 1 January 2025, having most recently been chief executive of Zien Group, which owns and operates the Amsterdam-based Eden Hotels brand.

Prior to that, in 2011 Skelli-Cohen founded Lore, which operates properties such as Sea Containers London, Pulitzer Amsterdam and Riggs Washington DC.

The veteran hotelier joins Beaumier as it plans to expand across Europe, including in the UK.

A spokesperson for the France-based hotel group said the UK is “one of Beaumier’s biggest markets”.

Commenting on his appointment, Skelli-Cohen said: “Beaumier is an incredible collection of properties in exceptional European locations. I am truly honoured to join as chief executive and help lead a team of passionate and dedicated professionals.

“In 2021, Les Hôtels d’en Haut became Beaumier, which has since developed into a best-in-class brand of hotels dedicated to their unique location and culture ,with a strong commitment to sustainability and nature preservation. The company is poised to continue its impressive growth in new and exciting destinations, and I am thrilled at the opportunity to lead the company in this exciting next chapter.”

Beaumier was founded in 2011 and officially launched as a brand in 2021. The lifestyle hospitality group owns and operates 11 hotels in France, Spain and Switzerland, including in Le Moulin, Lourmarin (pictured).
