The long-awaited opening joins the growing list of luxury hotels launching in London next year
London’s first Six Senses luxury wellness hotel will finally open its doors in early 2026.
The property, set within the redeveloped Whiteleys department store in London’s Bayswater, will feature 109 guest rooms and suites and 14 branded residences.
Its 25,000 sq ft spa will occupy a single floor and feature a flotation pod, cryotherapy chamber and a medical clinic devoted to longevity. The space will also be home to the first magnesium pool – designed to relax muscles and be less irritating to skin – in a London hotel.
The on-site Whiteley’s Kitchen Bar and Café will serve modern British cuisine alongside cocktails, farmhouse bakes and small-batch coffee.

The hotel will also feature the brand’s first private club, Six Senses Place, which is described as a “sanctuary for celebration, purpose and wellbeing”, with membership by application only.
Six Senses London was first announced in 2019 after the Six Senses brand was bought by InterContinental Hotels Group for £232m.
It joins a boom in luxury hotel launches in London, which is set to see hundreds of high-end rooms open over the next year.
September saw the launch of the Chancery Rosewood hotel, a £1b redevelopment of the former US embassy building on Grosvenor Square, where prices range from £1,400 a night for a room to upwards of £18,000 a night for a suite.

Next year’s openings will include the UK debut of California’s Auberge Resorts Collection with a 102-room luxury hotel in Mayfair, while the 100-room Waldorf Astoria London Admiralty Arch will open at the opposite end of the Mall to Buckingham Palace, with restaurants from chefs Clare Smyth and Daniel Boulud.
Six Senses operates 27 hotels and resorts in 22 countries and has a further 38 properties under development worldwide, including several private residences.
