Market Place to open third food hall in Vauxhall this September

Market Place London is opening a third site in Vauxhall which will house 12 restaurant spaces including Rudie's Jerk Shack, Hermano Tacos and Karapincha Kitchen.

The third site will open in Vauxhall on Friday 23 September 2022, joining the group's Peckham and Hounslow locations which also offer spaces for start-up food and drink vendors to test their business concepts in a food hall location.

The 200-cover Market Place Vauxhall will be located in the arches next door to Vauxhall station and feature a standalone bar and a DJ booth.

The 12 restaurant spaces will include local operators Made in Puglia, Hermano Tacos, Karapincha Kitchen and Rudie's Jerk Shack.

"We focus our attention on London neighborhoods rather than central locations as we want to create amazing food and drink destinations on people's doorsteps," explained Blake Henderson, operations director at Market Place. "With the onset of hybrid working following the pandemic, people are spending more time in their own neighbourhoods, so we feel there will be strong demand for more Market Place sites across the city. We also offer small and local food businesses prime opportunities at a fraction of the cost to give them spaces for their ideas to grow. We're very excited to open our third food hall in Vauxhall and hope that it will become a buzzing hub of activity in the area just like our Peckham and Hounslow locations."
