Neil Slade appointed to oversee Beadnell Towers

01 October 2019 by

Neil Slade has been appointed group general manager to oversee Anna and David Wilson's Beadnell Towers hotel in Northumberland as well as their holiday cottage portfolio.

The 18-bedroom hotel, which relaunched in May following an 18-month, £3m refurbishment, had been overseen by assistant general manager Joann Mailer after the departure of general manager Denis Frucot after a year, who has since joined Crumplebury events and wedding venue in Herefordshire.

Slade previously worked as a general manager at the Signature Bannatyne hotel in County Durham, as well as at Cornwall hotels Penmorvah Manor, the Green Lawns and the Greenbank. He was also hotel manager of the Headland hotel in Newquay, Cornwall.

He said: "Coming to Northumberland was so important to me, not just for my family but to reconnect with the North of England and it's great to be part of the successful team at Beadnell. I am very excited to join the team and to experience the beauty of the North."

David Wilson added: "Neil is a fantastic addition to the Beadnell Towers team. His expertise in hotel management gained over his lengthy career will be a real asset. We welcome him on board and look forward to seeing his passion for the region and for hospitality take the Beadnell Towers to even greater success."
