New Forest Collection’s Burley Manor hotel on the market for £8.5m

The New Forest Collection hotel group has put Burley Manor hotel up for sale with a guide price of £8.5m.

The transaction is being handled by real estate advisor Knight Frank alongside hotel brokerage firm Simon Stevens Associates.

Burley Manor is a Grade II listed Victorian country house hotel set within approximately six acres of landscaped gardens and grounds in the New Forest National Park, Hampshire.

The property comprises 41 guest bedrooms, a self-contained banqueting suite, staff accommodation, a heated outdoor swimming pool, wedding and event lawns and a ‘Shepherd’s Hut Suite’.

Planning permission has also been secured for five additional garden suites and two bedrooms.

Burley Manor attracts strong year-round occupancy from a diverse mix of leisure and corporate demand, including luxury countryside tourism, private celebrations, corporate meetings and retreats, as well as visitors to the South Coast beaches. Its banqueting suite provides dedicated space for weddings, conferences, private dining and other events.

Alongside Burley Manor, New Forest Collection’s privately-owned portfolio includes Bartley Lodge, Forest Lodge and Beaulieu Inn.

The group entered a partnership with hospitality management company Rockingham Partners in 2024.

The hotel collection had been put up for sale in 2023 but that was withdrawn from the market following the announcement of the partnership and ownership under Nizam Shammas.

Rockingham Partners was founded by Simon Maguire and Mike Lashmar, who were both previously at Luxury Family Hotels.
