It's gonna be May.... with plenty of new openings! It's time to share the newest and shiniest openings for this month across the UK, from Aberdeen to Aberystwyth.

Lilienblum, Shoreditch, London

Chef Eyal Shani, founder of Israeli casual dining chain Miznon, has opened Lilienblum in London's Shoreditch.

Lilienblum, named after the street where Shani opened one of his first restaurants, offers family-style sharing plates in an interactive open kitchen surrounded by counter dining seats.

Head chef Oren King of Dinner by Heston Blumenthal and Roka has worked with Shani to create a range of menu items, including the signature hummus and golden fresh focaccia served with sour cream, spicy green chillies and tomato ovaries.

The wine and cocktail menu has been curated by general manager Kitty Sparks of Aquavit and offers a variety of lesser-known Israeli wines alongside those of European producers.

The interiors have been designed by Eric Parry Architects and Yakov Turjeman and feature a central ceramic column and colourfully painted ceilings.

Meat the Fish, Chelsea, London

The group behind Japanese omakase restaurant Mayha will be opening the Beirut-based Lebanese restaurant Meat the Fish in London's Chelsea. Head chef Rachel Bado will offer a range of Mediter-Asian dishes.

Silures, Cardiff

Andrei Maxim and Daf Andrews of A&M Hospitality Group have launched Silures restaurant and bar in Cardiff. Executive head chef Byron Moussouris joins the venture from the Bloomsbury hotel in London's West End.

Amy Corbin and Patrick Williams will be opening their third restaurant, Little Kudu, in London's Peckham. The South African-inspired tapas restaurant will be led by South African-born head chef Chace Wagenhauser.

Kima, Marylebone, London

Nikos Roussos and Andreas Labridis are to open fin-to-grill restaurant Kima in London's Marylebone. Kima, meaning wave in ancient Greek, will offer a coastal theme throughout.

Restaurant RenMor, Newquay, Cornwall

Restaurant RenMor has opened in the Headland hotel in Cornwall. It replaces the hotel's previous restaurant after a £3m refurbishment. Head chef Fred Goodrich offers a range of Cornish produce.

Harvest, Kensal Rise, London

Chef and restauranteur Jesse Dunford Wood has opened all-day modern British eatery Harvest in Kensal Rise, London. Located on bustling Chamberlayne Road, in the heart of Kensal Village, Harvest serves coffee and breakfast from early morning before moving on to brunch, lunch and dinner menus.

The kitchen serves seasonal dishes, with the offering changing throughout the week. There is an emphasis on British coastal fish and carefully sourced meat, with standout dishes including a whole seabass to share.

A curated wine list is accompanied by cocktails, non-alcoholic offerings and a Harvest pilsner, created in collaboration with neighbouring Portobello Brewery.

Korean grab-and-go restaurant Bunsik is launching a site in Manchester, the brand's first outside London. The site will offer a menu featuring Korean corn dogs, bubble teas and Bingsu desserts.

Modern Indian dining restaurant Kachori is launching in south London. The all-day eatery will serve a menu featuring small plates as well as a burger or pao menu, and tandoori.

Crudo, Covent Garden, London

Lina Stores, Clapham, London

Lina Stores is opening in Clapham, marking the Italian restaurant's debut in south London. The new restaurant overlooking Clapham Common will be open for lunch and dinner from Wednesday to Sunday and serve breakfast on the weekends.

Joia Rooftop, Battersea, London

Portuguese chef Henrique Sá Pessoa has opened Joia Rooftop above his Iberian restaurant Joia in London's Battersea.

The 74-cover open-air bar and terrace sits on the 16th floor of Grade II-listed Battersea Power Station.

It serves a variety of seasonal cocktails, including sharing cocktails for groups.

Options include the Sangria (Quinta do Infantado white port, clarified red wine and fruit) or the Iberian Spritz (black tea cordial, Amontillado sherry and Quinta das Bágeiras Bruto Natural).

Peach daiquiri slushies and a selection of Spanish and Portuguese wines are available.

The food menu features a mix of snacks, pesticos and tapas. Some dishes, such as the Prego steak sandwich, are exclusive to the rooftop, and signature plates from Joia restaurant are also on offer.

The 278-bedroom Hampton by Hilton London City has opened in East London. It features a restaurant serving the brand's signature breakfast waffles as well as a fitness centre with Peloton bikes and treadmills.

Clementine's on the Lawn, Blenheim Palace

Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire has opened a fine dining restaurant in a 16 x 25m glass structure. Lunch and themed afternoon teas can be provided for 180 guests.

Gorse, Newquay

Nat Galliano-Hale and Anna Gerrans, owners of independent sourdough bakery Gorse, have opened a café in Newquay. Milk is sourced from St Ives-based Trink Dairy and coffee from Foundation Coffee Roasters.

Husband-and-wife team Stephen and Charlotte Barker have opened a Parisian-inspired restaurant in Cardiff. The all-day bistro offers a prix fixe menu centred around a single main course: certified PGI Welsh beef steak, frites and a ‘secret' sauce.

Patron Saint, Edinburgh

Lucky Number Seven Holdings, the team behind cocktail bars Cocktail Mafia and Raging Bull, is to open a 78-cover bar and restaurant, Patron Saint, in Edinburgh. Chef Francesco Castro will offer casual dishes sourced from local suppliers.

Wild at the Cross, King's Cross, London

Wild is to open on the first floor of London nightclub the Cross in King's Cross. The 55-cover restaurant will serve a sharing Mediterranean menu under head chef Luis Diego Loria Ortega.

Guests will also be able to access the ground floor bar for cocktails.

Tempus, Northumberland

Northumberland-based hospitality group the Doxford Group is to reopen hotel, bar and restaurant the Tempus at Charlton Hall Estate in Alnwick.

The Alice in Wonderland-inspired site has undergone two years of construction and features 15 new bedrooms and suites, a ground floor bar, restaurant and orangery. This brings accommodation capacity at the Grade II-listed 150-acre estate to 86 guests.

The all-day restaurant will offer classic dishes such as Tempus fish and chips, shepherd's pie and seasonal risotto, as well as truffle gnocchi and lobster thermidor.

The drinks menu offers a selection of wines, beers, ciders and spirits, including from local brands such as Rigg & Furrow Ale, Marlish Tonic, Hepple Gin and Alnwick Rum.

Jeffreys Interiors has been responsible for the loud colour palette and glamorous soft furnishings at the venue.

Italian restaurant Assaggini has opened in Edinburgh, offering pizza and pasta dishes using Scottish and Italian ingredients.

Pizza and cocktail restaurant PizzaLuxe has opened in London's Covent Garden. The alfresco restaurant, which first launched as a market stall on Brick Lane, offers aperitivos and 96-hour slow-proven sourdough pizza.

It is open every day from 12pm to 9.30pm.

New York City-based burger brand Shake Shack has opened its 13th UK restaurant, in London's Camden. The three-storey venue has been designed by Poland-born illustrator Aga Giecko.
