This marks a new role for the B Corp-rated restaurant group also behind Fowl and Roe
Nokx Majozi, the former head pie maker at the Holborn Dining Room within the Rosewood London, has joined Fallow in London’s St James’s as chef in residence.
This marks a new role for the B Corp-rated restaurant group from chefs Will Murray, Jack Croft and chairman James Robson.
According to press materials, Majozi will work closely with the team “for a flexible period” to develop a regularly changing pie offering.
She plans to introduce dishes such as a pâté en croute, while also sharing her expertise in whole-animal butchery and house-made charcuterie.
Majozi announced her departure from the Holborn Dining Room after 10 years at the restaurant in September.
It appears the chef in residence role will be limited to Fallow for the time being, though the group also operates Fowl in St James’s and Roe in London’s Canary Wharf.
Croft and Murray, both 2021 Acorn Award winners, had the idea for Fallow while working together at Dinner by Heston Blumenthal in London’s Knightsbridge.
The pair were named runners-up at the Brixton Kitchen Competition in 2019, which led to them being approached by entrepreneur Robson, who enabled the business to grow into a pop-up residency at London’s Heddon Street in early 2020.
Fallow opened as a permanent site in London’s St James’ in late 2021 and the team took home the Newcomer Award at the 2022 Cateys.
