Bliss Hotel Southport

Bliss Hotels has opened its first property in Southport, Merseyside, following the rebranding and refurbishment of the Ramada Plaza hotel. Located within the city's Waterfront development, the project was financed with the support of a £15m funding package from asset manager ICG, and two penthouses have been created.

The hotel, which remained open during the refurbishment, is the first in the UK to trade under Wyndham's Trademark soft brand of independent, upper-midscale hotels under a franchise agreement.

The hotel features a 3,000 sq ft roof garden, as well as Bliss Kitchen, DJ sets, its own hotel radio station and movie nights.

The group plans to create a ‘mini chain' of approximately 10 properties by 2026, both owned and operated.
