Page8
Hong Kong-based Chanco Investment Group has opened its first Page-branded hotel in the UK, Page8 in London's St Martin's Place, just off Trafalgar Square.
Operated by the company's hospitality arm, Butterfly Hospitality Group, the London property is the second hotel in the Page boutique brand. The first, Page148, opened with 197 bedrooms in Hong Kong in January 2019.
The five-floor Page8 was developed at a cost of £23.1m within a building that was previously home to the Post Office and Redwood Publishing. Chanco, headed by Henry Chan, bought the property in 2014 for £65m.
The hotel features a café in the lobby and alfresco bar. The hotel's restaurant partner, which will take over 618 sq m of the top floor of the hotel, will be announced later this month.

Bancone
Will Ellner and his team have opened a second Bancone in London's Soho, serving the brand's signature pasta dishes. The restaurant has several ‘banconi' (counters) for 90 diners, and a basement complete with cocktail bar and private dining.

Bottles Chelsea
Following its Old Spitalfields Market launch last year, Bottles has opened in London's Chelsea, focusing on microproducers, natural and fine wines alongside Italian small plates. The bar has a private dining space, wine cellar and American bar serving classic cocktails.

Casa do Frango Shoreditch
Algarvian piri-piri chicken concept Casa do Frango has opened in London's Shoreditch. The new site has a wine bar on the ground floor, serving Portuguese wines, a petiscos bar (Portuguese tapas) and a pastelaria (bakery).

Dandy
Chef Dan Wilson has teamed up with restaurateur and investor Matt Wells to bring his neighbourhood restaurant concept Dandy to London's Bermondsey. Dinner is served Wednesday to Sunday and an all-day offering is available at weekends.

The Melusine
The Melusine has opened in London's St Katharine Docks. The neighbourhood seafood restaurant offers a daily menu of British seafood; a raw menu of oysters, sea urchins and clams; and whole fish, poached, grilled or roasted. The site also has an alfresco terrace.

Westow House
Following an extensive restoration, the 19th-century Westow House pub in London's Crystal Palace has added 23 bedrooms, including two family suites, three twin rooms and 18 doubles. The rooms feature Voyager mattresses and vintage furniture from Sunbury and Sandown Antiques Market.
