NYX Hotel London Holborn
Leonardo Hotels UK and Ireland is opening its first NYX hotel in the UK, in London's Holborn. The brand, which is part of Fattal Hotels Group, also has nine sites in locations such as Milan, Prague and Madrid.
Its debut UK site is a 213-bedroom hotel on the corner of Southampton Street and Theobalds Road in London. The property is decorated with street art by Dan Kitchener running the entire length of the building, and inside the rooms feature eye-catching bespoke artwork and padded leather headboards.
The hotel's NYX bar and restaurant will seat 126 covers and is open until 3am most nights, while the bar offers cocktails and a choice of 20 tequilas.
A subterranean Rena spa features a swimming pool with retractable flooring to transform into a private entertainment space, as well as a steam room, sauna, fitness centre and treatment suites. The rooftop events space is due to open in 2022.

Box
Arc Inspirations has brought its sports bar brand Box to Chapel Allerton, its third opening in Leeds. The 2,000 sq ft venue features 14 Ultra HD screens and an outdoor terrace with an LED screen. It offers sharing steins, pizzas, burgers and kebabs, and a bottomless weekend brunch.

Humble Chicken
Former Restaurant Story head chef Angelo Sato's yakitori bar has launched in a site previously occupied by Freak Scene in London's Soho. Humble Chicken's menu makes use of every part of the bird, from gizzards to knees, and draws influence from Tokyo's izakayas.

Maya
Soho House has opened its Mexican restaurant concept Maya on the roof of the Hoxton hotel in London's Shoreditch. The 80-cover site, which will be open to non-members, will be the first permanent UK location for Maya, which started as a pop-up in 2019.
