Openings: Duke on the Green
The Duke on the Green pub in Parson's Green in London has reopened following an extensive refurbishment, which aims to retain its Victorian characteristics while bringing it into the 21st century. Built in 1892, the Young's pub is one of only two remaining designed by sculptor Henry Poole. The listed bar has been given a fresh coat of paint in navy and yellow, and a French-style cabinet displays a range of wines and spirits. The bar also boasts its original tiles, the influence for a colour palette of emerald and warm, earthy tones.
