Openings: Pieminister
Pieminister has opened its 10th restaurant and bar, this time in central Leeds. This is the company's most northerly outpost and is part of an expansion programme which aims to see more openings over the next five years. Pieminister is targeting Liverpool, a second outlet in Manchester, Nottingham, Brixton and Clapham, and will also consider other towns. The new Leeds venue, which is a flagship site for the group, offers a menu of pies, hot pots, salads and snacks, as well as craft beers, cocktails and music. The two-storey Victorian building in which it sits, on the corner of Duncan Street, has been extensively refurbished, revealing parquet flooring, Leeds steel girders and red brickwork, which has been combined with Pieminister's metal caging, hand-painted signs and booth seating.
