Plans approved for 95-suite extension of Stock Exchange hotel

Plans have been approved for the addition of 95 rooms to the Stock Exchange hotel in Manchester.

Stock Exchange Suites will be situated opposite the original hotel building, with the properties sharing facilities including a new gym and spa.

Designed by Autoban, the interior design studio that turned the original Stock Exchange building into a hotel, Stock Exchange Suites will include 95 suites, echoing the design of the Stock Exchange hotel. All floors will be designed to accommodate flexible cluster rooms for larger groups, with options to enable a number of different bedroom configurations.

On the ground floor new building will feature a 1,000 square foot lobby space called Traders Lounge available to guests of both properties.

Meanwhile a new gym and spa is planned, along with extended meetings and events spaces.

The new development is expected to open early next year.
