Admiral pays £10.5m for 40 more pubs

Admiral Taverns has bought a further 41 pubs from Enterprise Inns for £10.45m in cash, it was announced today.

The deal is expected to be completed this month and will add to Admiral's £62.6m purchase of 241 Enterprise Inns properties just less than a year ago.

Gary Landesberg, co-owner of Admiral Taverns, said: "Hopefully this is the start of a very active year for us and we are keen to add to our rapidly expanding estate."

Admiral was created in 2004 to acquire tenanted pubs and this acquisition brings the total outlets purchased in the last 12 months to 370.

The company is owned by former property developers Alan and Gary Landesberg and David and Elliot Rosenberg.
