Elton's Crown changes hands

The Crown Inn in Elton, near Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, has been sold off an asking price of more than £700,000.

Previous owners were Bob and Myra Hidderley and their family, who had owned and operated the Crown Inn for 20 years and are now retiring from the licensed trade.

The buyer is Marcus Lamb, an experienced operator from the North-east of England. The agent was Christie + Co.

The Crown Inn includes a lounge bar, restaurant, two function rooms, three en-suite bedrooms, and a patio garden.

The trade split is currently 50% catering and 50% bar trade.
