New owner for the Pear Tree Inn, Worcester

The Pear Tree Inn & Country Hotel, in Worcester, has changed hands through the Birmingham Office of agent Christie + Co.

It was sold on behalf of Derek and Janet Hill, who had owned and operated the business for the last 19 years.

The hotel has 24 letting bedrooms, and has planning permission for three floors of new-build accommodation, which could create a further 46 bedrooms and leisure facilities.

The hotel has been sold to local businessman, Paul Gakhal.

The property was sold for an undisclosed sum in excess of the asking price.
