Perry family buys Bude's only nightclub

The Perry family has bought the lease on the Kazbar Nightclub, which is the only remaining nightclub in the North Cornish seaside resort and surfing Mecca of Bude.

The family owns a number of licensed and catering businesses in the area under the trading name Bude Nightlife which includes pub-hotel The Inn on the Green and the Beach Café at Crookelets Beach.

They have reopened the 300-capacity club as the Rogue Nightclub, named after an album made by family friend Big Al Hodge.

The nighclub, a lock-up ground-floor unit that is accessed by a walkway, lies in the heart of the town and incorporates a central dance floor, a bar servery and seating. In the year to September 2007, it achieved a turnover of £375,591/

Stonesmith of Exeter sold the 15-year lease off an asking price of £295,000, with annual rent set at £22,000.
