Pub openings boost Barracuda
Managed pub group Barracuda has seen turnover at its 153-strong estate increase 15% to £46.3m (£40.4m) in its interim results. The performance was driven by seven pub openings in the six months to 27 March 2004, excluding its first site in Scotland, which opened in Perth this month.
Food sales across the group, which owns the Smith & Jones brand, surged 28%. The company has £15m to fund further expansion.
